Jamestown Climb bus route now in service
A new bus route connecting mountain residents to Boulder began service today when the Climb bus made its first run from the Jamestown Mercantile to the Boulder Transit Center.
The Climb – which already runs a daily route between Gold Hill and Boulder – now operates a weekday route between the city and Jamestown. The route is funded through a partnership of community residents, Via Mobility Services and Boulder County.
The bus makes one daily roundtrip, departing Jamestown at 7 a.m. and arriving at 8 at the Boulder Transit Center at 14th and Walnut streets. The return trip departs from Boulder at 5:15 p.m. and arrives back in Jamestown at 6:15.
The route serves stops along Lee Hill Drive and the Boulder Heights neighborhood from April through October. The route will serve Olde Stage Road from November through March.
The fare is $3 per one-way trip, but all residents along the Jamestown route will receive a pass good for free, unlimited access to the route through Dec. 31. Residents receiving the free pass are asked to make a donation to help fund the route and ensure its continued operation in 2013.
To receive the Jamestown Climb resident pass or for more information on the route and schedule, visit www.the-climb.org or contact Phil Carter at pcarter@viacolorado.org or 303-447-2848.
